WHO WE ARE
Kristin Dunn
Kristin founded her bindery Kristin Dunn Bookbinding and Design in 2006, and she continues to run not only the day to day operations of the company, but works hands-on designing new products and is involved in handmaking, packing and shipping each and every custom order that is placed. She loves nothing more than tackling a complicated design challenge or working out an interesting color scheme. When she isn’t working in the studio, she can be found spending time with her amazing daughter Vanessa, putting in time at the gym, tending to her plot in a local community garden or hosting happy hours complete with delicious home-cooked goodies for her friends and neighbors. She also serves on the boards of the historical building where she lives, her neighborhood organization and the PTO at her daughter’s school.
Rachel Hillberg
Rachel has been Kristin’s studio assistant and bookbinder since 2014. She was teaching bookbinding workshops sporadically when she came across Kristin’s job posting. She has enjoyed taking on new challenges and learning new techniques while working for KDbooks, but her favorite part of the job is the company of Kristin and her daughter Vanessa. When she’s not working for Kristin, she is most likely working in her home studio making miniature stationery for her side business Tiny Telegrams, or crafting some small books and journals. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and cats, gardening and playing ukulele at music nights with friends.
